Mein Schiff 5 is back in town, this time together with MV Prinsendam

Coordination of logistics via ONE contact point :
Good for business, good for the environment, good for the clients, and good for the suppliers.
We have just finalized a vessel operation where we chartered MS Titran. First picked up split stones and cement in Norway, then sailed to Murmansk to load stone dust for the mine, and after discharging everything in Longyearbyen we loaded the vessel with coal for exports to Rotterdam.
Cooperation works.
Thanks to Elisabeth at Store Norske, Yurii in Murmansk, Stig in Narvik, and Mikael in Longyearbyen

What is stone dust used for in the mine? I am curious... 🙂

It's spread over the walls and roof to keep the coaldust 'down', in short: to prevent a possible explosion

And where is the cargo heading?
